    Terms of hire

    1. Hire Period and Charges:
      • The minimum hire period is 2 hours. The hire period begins once the equipment is delivered to the agreed location and ends when the tracked carrier is returned.
      • Additional charges apply for time exceeding the agreed hire period. If the hire exceeds the expected duration, the customer will be charged at the appropriate rate.
    2. Operator and Setup:
      • The hire includes a trained operator for the full duration of the hire. All usage of the tracked carrier must be done by our supplied operator.
      • 30 minutes of setup time is included at the start of the hire. Any additional setup time required will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
    3. Battery and Charging:
      • The tracked carrier will be fully charged at the start of the hire.
      • The customer acknowledges that depending on the usage, the battery may need recharging during the hire period.
      • The customer is responsible for providing access to charging facilities if the tracked carrier requires recharging during the hire. We will assist with recharging where possible, but any downtime due to recharging will not affect the hire charges.
      • If the machine is unable to be charged due to insufficient access to power or any other reason, the customer will still be responsible for the hire charges.
    4. Insurance:
      • Our tracked carrier hire includes full insurance coverage for damage to the equipment during the hire period.
      • The customer is required to inform us immediately if any damage or incident occurs.
      • While the equipment is covered by our insurance, the customer may be responsible for the excess, depending on the nature of the damage or incident.
    5. Usage and Responsibility:
      • The tracked carrier will only be operated by the trained operator supplied by us. The customer is not permitted to operate the equipment themselves.
      • The customer is responsible for ensuring the tracked carrier is used in a safe and appropriate manner, following the guidance of our operator.
      • The equipment must only be used for the purpose for which it was hired, and in compliance with relevant safety regulations.
    6. Delivery and Collection:
      • Delivery and collection within a reasonable distance (e.g., 15 miles from Northampton) are included. For locations beyond this, additional charges may apply.
    7. Payment Terms:
      • Full payment is required upfront or within an agreed period before the hire begins.
      • For longer hires (i.e., multiple days), a deposit may be required to confirm the booking.
    8. Cancellations and Modifications:
      • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.
      • Changes to the agreed hire period must be made with 24 hours' notice. Late changes or modifications may be subject to additional charges.
    9. Discounts:
      • Discounts are only applicable for longer hire periods (e.g., 2 days, 3 days, etc.) and cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
      • The discount is applied to the total hire fee based on the final duration agreed upon at the time of booking.
    10. Indemnity:
    • The customer agrees to indemnify the hiring company against any loss, damage, or injury caused by the use of the tracked carrier during the hire period, except for incidents covered under our insurance policy.
